Patricia Abeyta

ABEYTA, PATRICIA ANNAPatricia Anna Abeyta, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, went to her eternal rest Wednesday, December 5th 2012. She is survived by her spouse, Johnny D. Abeyta of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Elizabeth Abeyta-Murry and husband Sidney Murry from Placitas NM and Tanya Nash and husband Carl Nash of Colorado Springs, CO; her granddaughter, Kira Nash; her sister, Johanna King; her brother, Joseph Brawley; her niece, Anya King; her sister-in-law, Linda Rentz and nephew, Ronnie Rentz. Mrs. Abeyta was preceded in death by her daughter Maria Abeyta. "Dr. Pat" began her career as a public school teacher in Villa Nueva and other locations in Northern New Mexico including Cuba and Dulce. She then focused on working with special needs students. She later worked for the Bureau of Indian Education, Department of Performance and Accountability, throughout the U.S. for more than 20 years. She dedicated her life to working with and for children. A rosary will be recited Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at French - University, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Tom Jones. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 12 at 8:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, with Msgr. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd., NE. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Center, 218 Iron SW, Albuquerque, NM.
