Patricia Abbott, 88, Albuquerque resident in her younger years, passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona August 22, 2018.
Ms. Abbott lived a varied life. Marrying and starting a family with Earl Abbott at the age of 21, they traveled together as evangelists for several years before Earl started his first Chiropractic practice in Manhattan Beach, California in 1963. Graduating from Chiropractic College herself at 40 in 1970, she practiced in various locations over 20 years: Southern and Northern California, as well as Albuquerque.
At 60, after sustaining a wrist injury, she was forced to retire from Chiropractic. She worked at office jobs, finally retiring from Presbyterian Healthcare Services as assistant to a department manager, here in Albuquerque.
She spent her retirement years in Albuquerque until 2007 when she moved to the Phoenix area to be closer to her son, who lived there at the time.
The youngest, and last surviving member of eight children of Demp and Lena Willis, also of Albuquerque, she was born on February 17, 1930 in Lefors, Texas.
She is remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews locally as well as other relatives and friends in many parts of the country.
She is survived by her son, Earl Abbott II of Bellingham, Washington.
