Pacita Soriano - Gatan was 86 years old when she passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017. She was born on November 16, 1930 in Isabela, Philippines, the daughter of the late Jose and Honoria Soriano. She was one of 11 children.
She made her choice to serve the Lord in the gospel meetings of Henry Eicher and Leo Stancliff and she loved the perfect way of God until her death. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A lover of hospitality, she enjoyed having the workers, family and friends in her open home. She was a celebrated cook in the Soriano - Gatan family!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcos; four sisters; and one brother. She is survived by her children: May, Fe, Myrna (Merlin) Nelson, Richard (Erlinda), Marylou, Therold, Clarence (Lisa), Hazel, and William; five step-children, Demy, Bert, Bennie (Veronica), Marcos Jr., and Aida Barranco; six grandchildren: Jessica (Ryan) Hellevang, Sarah (David) Armstrong, Becca Nelson, Sheryl (Ryan ) Bergh, Alison Fuehrer, and Sean Ray Gatan; six great grandchildren: Theo, James and Everett Hellevang, Evie, Miriam and William Armstrong.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the Funeral Service Monday, September 25, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH –Lomas. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
