Pablo Muniz

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of beloved husband and father, Pablo Antonio Muñiz (74). Pablo passed away peacefully in his home on December 11th, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side, after a brief period of illness.

Pablo was born on February 26, 1950, in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Antonio and Haydee Muñiz. He was a proud Puerto Rican and often shared stories of his youth surrounded by his large extended family who lovingly called him "Paito". Throughout his life he lived in several states, as well as Guayaquil, Ecuador. At the end of his life he made Rio Rancho, New Mexico his home.

In 1974 he married the love of his life, Haydee, and they shared a strong, loving marriage for the past 50 years. He worked for over 30 years in the printing industry and retired in 2007. Pablo was the proud father of two sons and a daughter. His greatest joy, however, was being a grandfather and he proudly shared pictures and stories of his grandchildren, who lived near and far, with everyone he encountered. He will be remembered as a wise, kind, honest man who loved his family. He was well liked by his friends and neighbors and many will remember having long conversations with him as he loved to do.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife Haydee; children, Joao (Stacy), Alexis (Jennifer) and Michelle (Kacper); grandchildren; Damian, Angelina, Milla, Rafael, Neala, Israel, Octavian, Cecelia and Eliana; and great-grandchildren Carlito and Sarai; sisters Margie(Ray) and Carmen; as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Services will be held at French Funeral Home, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 on Thursday, December 19th at 11am. The burial will follow immediately after services at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A luncheon will be held after the burial at the Fiutek residence.
