Age 92, a life-long resident of Tijeras, NM passed away Friday July 3, 2015. He was a Navy veteran and served in WWII. He worked at Sandia National Labs and retired in 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Irene Garcia; his parents Vicente and Ocariz Garcia, his brothers Bertin and Vicente, Jr.; his sisters Julie, Angelina and Carlota; and grandchild Luis Garcia. He is survived by his three sons and one daughter, Rey Garcia and wife, Viola, of Tijeras, Betty Garcia and husband, Felix, of Tijeras, Paul Garcia and wife, Anne, of Albuquerque, and Greg Garcia of Albuquerque; his brothers Gilbert, Jerry and Bobby; his sister Bennie; nine grand kids; 12 great grand kids; three great-great grand-kids; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. He lived a long, love-filled life and loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather and will be missed by many. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church, 19 Camino del Santo Nino, Tijeras, NM 87059. A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, July 9, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Tijeras Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Garcia, Jeff Garcia, Rey Garcia, Jr., Kevin Garcia Jr., Nathan Garcia, and Frankie Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Garcia, Isaac Rodriguez, Nep Rodriguez, Jr., Cole Garcia, Cayden Garcia, Cenneth Garcia and Conner Garcia.
