MAYER, OTTO FRANKOn September 1, 2012, Otto Frank Mayer found blessed everlasting rest. He has now joined his parents, George and Maria, and his brother, Oskar in the land of light and joy. His soul, like their souls, will rest in eternal peace.Otto was born in Weisskirchen, Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1950. Otto served honorably in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean conflict. After studying to be an aeronautical and civil engineer, he lived with his family and worked in Huntington, New York for many years. Later, he was transferred to Europe where he continued to work on many important aerospace and aircraft projects. For the past twelve years, he lived in Albuquerque. Otto is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ernestine; his sister, Hilda Hum; his son, Kurt Mayer and his wife, Rebecca and their son, Maximillian; his daughter, Dr. Petra Mayer and her husband, Jason Moorhead and their children, Teresa and Joshua. Friends may visit at French~Wyoming on Thursday, September 6th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. A service for Otto will be held at French~Wyoming at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7th. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Otto's name to Boy's Town, 200 Flanagan Blvd., P.O. Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
