It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, friend, and husband of 52 years. Otie Clinton Tumlinson was 79 years old. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends, when the Lord called him home on December 11th.
He was a man full of wisdom, humor, and a love of God. He cherished spending time with his wife, family and his fur babies. He was born August 1st, 1945 in Ada, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Fontenot Tumlinson. His three children, Heather Tumlinson Dayhoff, Ashley Tumlinson, and Morgan Tumlinson. He was the grandfather of eight grandbabies, Austyn and Hannah Dayhoff. Logan, Gavin and Auska Tumlinson, Naomi, Ezekiel and Zebediah Anderson.
He was a patient, loving, and understanding man towards all he met. He made people want to be around him. He was an amazing storyteller and had a lifetime of fabulous stories to tell. He was one of the strongest, loving, warm, devoted, selfless humans you could ever have met.
He was a man of many different interests and talents. He was a Pastor, a Youth Pastor. He was a High School English Teacher with two PhDs. He was a TV Producer. He worked as a manager in a jewelry store and many different manager positions. He also went to Culinary Arts School and ran a kitchen of a local community college. He loved being outdoors, camping, and star gazing.
Otie was preceded in death by both his parents, Otie V. and Bell Mickle-Tumlinson. His sister, Jean T. Macecevic. Also Grandbaby Ezekiel Dax Anderson.
His Memorial and Funeral will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd, on Friday, December 27 at 12pm.
