Orlando Gonzales Jr.

Orlando Gonzales Jr. of Los Lunas, NM passed away at age 60 on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 with loved ones at his side. He was born to Orlando Gonzales Sr. and Herminia (Guerrero) Gonzales on Monday, May 11, 1959 in San Antonio, TX where he spent his childhood. He was the middle of five children. During his teen years, his family moved to Clovis, NM. He would go on to spending time all over the US from Ohio to California. After returning to NM he met his future wife, Dorothy in 1980, and they were married in 1982. They had 2 children together which they raised in Los Lunas, NM. Orlando was a “jack of all trades” and skilled in construction, plumbing, mechanics and auto body work, roofing, and anything that needed to be done. He worked in multiple factories, spent time as a representative for a vitamin company, worked as a security guard, and was an entrepreneur. He was the proud owner of Discount Window Cleaning, LLC which he owned and managed. His spare time was spent shooting pool, cruising his Harley, working in his 49 Chevy Panel van, doing silversmith work, woodworking, tinkering with new creations and most of all spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and his positive encouragement which he generously shared with all.


He is survived by wife, Dorothy; their daughters, Crystal and husband, Shawn Paquin; granddaughters, Kateri and Koral, Tiana and husband, Blake Brennan; grandsons ,Holden and Kulen. Daughter, Sarah Gonzales; grandchildren, Andrea, Nicholas, Analecia, and Layla; and great -grandchildren, Alfredo and a new baby soon to arrive. Siblings: Joe Gonzales and wife, Elia, Gumesindo Gonzales and wife, Sandy, Elizabeth Patterson, Dorothy Gonzales and numerous nieces and nephews whom he all loved. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all those who have been supporting them during this time. A special and heartfelt thank you to the staff of High Desert Hospice and West Ridge Village for the support and genuine care which has been a blessing and truly appreciated. A Rosary will be recited followed by a Mass on Friday, July 5th, 2019, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 71 Tribal Rd 35, Isleta Village Proper, NM 87022.
