Orlando Valentino Correa

Orlando Valentino Correa, 50, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on January 11, 2023.

Orlando was born on July 8, 1972, to Floyd and Margaret Correa in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduating from Sandia High School in 1990, he went on to study business at Dartmouth College and University of New Mexico.

He founded Data Basis LLC in 2003 and was the President and CEO until his passing. He also served in the Board of Directors for the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation from 2014 to 2019 and was the the chair of the Albuquerque Academy Native American Parent Council (NAPC) from 2014 to 2016.

Orlando enjoyed cycling, crystals, listening to music, gardening, and playing with Romeo, the family dog. With his family, he enjoyed traveling to his favorite places: Hawaii and San Diego. His amazing smile will remain in our hearts.

Orlando was preceded by his father Floyd. He is survived by his wife Shawn; children Kainoa and Melia; mother Margaret; brother Mario; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
