Oneita Ruth Funkhouser

Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 5, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline A. Garrett and husband, Michael of Edgewood, NM; grandchildren, Michael Morrato and wife, Pennie, Melissa Solecki and husband, Michael; great grandchildren, Zachary, Ashlyn, Kaylee, Naomi, Bridgett and Autumn and many other relatives and friends. Oneita was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Victor Watson; her husband, Richard Alexander Funkhouser; her grandson, Captain James Alexander Funkhouser, Iraq - 2006. She was a member of the Christian Church. Oneita was a Registered Nurse working in hospitals/ ER and Trauma, for 40 years. Services will be private. Interment will take place at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, California. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8300 Constitution Pl NE.
