Ollie Mae Hopper

On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, Ollie Mae Hopper passed away surrounded by family at the age of 98.

Ollie Mae was born on September 14, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama to Ollie Minerva and Will Thompson. She received her bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Tennessee at the young age of 20. She was an art teacher, talented painter, loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend.

Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Hopper; son, Dr. James Frederick; granddaughter, Amy; her parents; eight siblings; and many dear friends. She is survived by her children; Robert Jr. and Clarinda; along with seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A private Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on Monday, October 22,2018. A public Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 22,2018 at 2:00 p.m., at La Vida Llena Retirement Community;10501 Lagrima de Oro Rd NE Albuquerque, NM 87111 where she was a longtime resident.
