Okhui McCallister, 78, beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She entered this world on October 20, 1944 in Busan, South Korea.
She is survived by her husband, William McCallister; daughter, Tanya (McCallister) Lunn; son-in-law, Michael Lunn; grandsons, Crosby Lunn and Jackson Lunn of Evans City, PA; and brother, Ki-Ho Kim of South Korea.
Okhui was a proud Air Force spouse and mother. Throughout her lifetime, she traveled across the country (military spouse) meeting new people and making friends along the way. Though they were not located in the same state/area, she would always make time to keep in touch with them.
Okhui lived and enjoyed the simple things life and found joy in her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always generous and caring, putting others before herself. She spent most of her time as the homemaker/caretaker for her family and friends. Additionally, Okhui enjoyed spending time with her friends, to include attending bible study with her friends, Choon Fritch, Anna Eliott, and Unyong.
Okhui enjoyed gardening especially red (Mr. Lincoln) roses and vegetables (tomatoes) were her specialty.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 13, 2023, 2:00-3:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at FRENCH - Westside, with Pastor Ben Friedman of Hope Church presiding over services. Flowers may be sent directly to French Funerals & Cremations at the address listed.
