A resident of La Vida Llena Retirement Community in Albuquerque, New Mexico and former resident of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, passed away on January 5, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, after 51 years of marriage; and his brother, Irving. He is survived by his niece, Nancy Luttrop and her two sons and their families of Fort Collins, Colorado. Norval served his country in WWII and was in the first wave of soldiers to land on Normandy Beach. After 36 years of employment, Norval retired from the Casualty Underwriting Division of the AAA of Michigan Automobile Group. Norval will be remembered for his loving care of his wife, his commitment to his community, his "can do" attitude, and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by all those who had the good fortune to have known him. A memorial service celebrating Norval's life will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Carter Hall at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
