Nettie Schanwald

Age 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, May 3, 2013. She is survived by her sons, Paul Schanwald and wife, Joelba of Charlottesville, VA, and John Schanwald and wife, Cynthia of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Emma Lou Schanwald, Katy Schanwald and Johnnie Schanwald; siblings; and numerous other relatives and friends. Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Schanwald; parents, Cicero and Mamie Kennedy; and nine of 11 siblings. She was born in Buckeye, AZ and moved with her parents to Elfreida, AZ where she attended high school. After marrying Harold Schanwald they moved to Chattanooga, TN where he attended Baptist Seminary. They lived in El Paso, TX, High Rolls, NM, Pecos, TX, and Amarillo, TX before moving to Albuquerque in 1964. Harold died in 1982 and she moved to Tularosa, NM in 1986. Services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
