Nell Kathleen Geddie

Nell K. Geddie, age 93, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 following a long battle with dementia.  She touched many lives, operating Mama Nell's Day Care in her home for many years. She is survived by her children, Clyde and wife Gloria of Greeneville, TN, Mary Joyce Wasson and husband Wendel (Buddy), John Geddie and wife Brenda, and Susan Stanton, all of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren;  sister, Margaret Brown of Port St Lucie, FL; brother, Ben Burnette of Knoxville, TN, sisters-in-law Adell Lewis of Albuquerque and Mary Macrander of Sunnyvale, CA; faithful friend and caretaker Wynell Quackenbush of Albuquerque and numerous other relatives and friends.   Nell was preceded in death by her husband, David Geddie; parents, Clyde and Lena Burnett; sister, Maureen Bartley; and brother, Frank Burnette.  She was born in 1924 in Knox County, TN.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Friends may visit Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Chapel on Lomas NE.  Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Mary Simon, Fe Gatan, Nadine Throgmorton and Carl Hamilton officiating.  Interment will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Park with a reception at the family home afterwards.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Nell's name to the charity of your choice.
