Nelda J. Middleton

Nelda (Nikki) Jane Middleton, age 89, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a longtime Albuquerque resident, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018.

Nikki, born in Chicago, Illinois, was a lifeguard, music teacher, and loving homemaker.  She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John N. Middleton.  Nikki loved to travel and during their years together Nikki and John ventured to favorite destinations in Hawaii, Europe, and Alaska. Nikki is also survived by daughter, Lisa Chapman and husband, Kenneth; and grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, and Brandon Tannen.  In addition, she is survived by her son, Lance Middleton and wife, Laura; and grandchildren, Connor and Noelle.  Close family members will especially miss her during her favorite holiday, Christmas, when Nikki was affectionally known as “Mrs. Claus”.
