Natividad (Tivie) Espinoza

December 26, 1931 — May 31, 2022

Natividad (Tivie) Espinoza, age 90, went home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, while surrounded by her family. Tivie was preceded in death by her mother, Teodorita H. Romero; five brothers, Max (Clara), Narciso (Elena), Ernesto (Eva), Elui (Sherry), and Eloy; and four sisters, Eliria (Andy), Dora, Flossie (Rudolfo), and Lily.

She is survived by her brother, Adolfo (Nora); and sister, Dolores (the late Robert); and four daughters/spouses, Rene (Emerson) Romero of Albuquerque, Gina (Ernie) Bishop of San Antonio, Mary Lou (Chris) Chávez of Taos, and Irisha (Raymond) Gonzales of Albuquerque. She is survived by her grandchildren, Joshua (Rosina) Cohen, Blake (Eva) Bishop, Kelly Villarreal (DJ), Jenna Chávez, Nadia Chávez, Taylor Rae Gonzales, Jordan Gonzales (Adrian), Naomi (Tim) Kassane, and Jeannie (Adam) Montoya. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Kobelee, Keilani, Nori-Rain, Ashlee, Jayven, Abrianna, Josh, Layla, Leandra, Esperanza, Reannon, Lucas, Hailea, Kallea, Kaden, Ethan, Avery, Reeve, Kyle, Brayten, Leighton, Hart Lee, and a great-great-granddaughter, Lelani. Additionally, she also leaves behind many others that were also considered her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Let's not forget her precious grand-dogs, Zeus, Stella, Huxley, Yoda, Hannah, and Buddy.

Even as a small child, Tivie was always a devoted catholic, a great caregiver, and always caring for everyone around her.

She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters and a member of the Sacred Heart League in Ranchos de Taos.

She was an excellent cook, always teaching her daughters and granddaughters how to cook. She made the best Sopa, panocha, Red Chile, and cookies. Her sons-in -law will always remember her dishes such as liver and onions, chicken fried steak, torta de huevo, and enchiladas. When visiting her, you never left her home hungry.

Tivie was a generous woman and was always willing to help others. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

The family will be holding a private service, to, respect COVID protocols.
