Naomi Jean Falk, age 82, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She was born in Cove, Arkansas to John and Lillie Combs. Naomi married Norman Falk on August 8, 1965. Naomi was an enthusiastic gardener and was dedicated to helping others. She and Norman moved to Albuquerque in 1985 after he retired as a career Naval Officer. She was active in organizations, including telephone crisis hotlines, hospice volunteer care, church activities, and master gardeners. She took great delight in her family, wasting no opportunity to lavish love and attention on children and especially on grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Norman Falk, and their four children and their families Gary Falk, his wife Joni and daughter Katelyn, Cynthia Hayes, her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Zachary, Deanna Falk, her husband Ronald and their daughter Ava, and Pamela Bell her husband Gregory. She is also survived by her sister June and her husband Robert McAfee. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. John's United Methodist Church at 2626 Arizona Street. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. The family wishes to offer our appreciation to the staff of Gentiva Hospice and the caregivers from Comfort Keepers who were so helpful to us throughout Naomi's long ordeal. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. John's United Methodist Church.
