Nadine (Drezos) Wittwer, born July 6, 1931 in Kansas City, KS to Nicholas and Lauren Drezos, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Her family moved to Las Vegas, NM in 1941 and then to Santa Rosa where Nadine graduated from high school in 1949. The family moved to Albuquerque where Nadine attended the University of New Mexico. She retired in 1990 after 28+ years at Sandia National Labs. After retirement she and Ed spent many summers at Navajo Lake and winters in Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Louise Matheny. Nadine is survived by her husband of 42+ years, Edwin C. Wittwer; her son, Michael T. Hallick and wife Debbie, of Plano TX; three grandchildren, Lauren Fuston, and husband Patrick; Mathew Hallick and wife, Carolyn; Michael A. Hallick and two great-grandchildren all living on the Plano area; and many other family including one nephew, Edward Matheny, who was more like a brother, and wife Bertie; one great - nephew, Glenn Matheny; two great-nieces, Glenda Whittaker and husband Bill; Laura Steen and husband Peter. They were all a great support throughout Nadine's illness. Ed wants to thank Compassas Hospice and Home Care Assistance for all the great care provided during the last months of Nadine's life and a special thanks to friends who gave prayers and needed assistance, Dick Shaw and Jose Escadon. A private Celebration of Nadine's life will be held at a later date for family and friends, per her wishes. Cremation has taken place.
