Mozelle passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. She was born in Oklahoma in 1924 and resided in Albuquerque most of her adult life. Mozelle worked for various federal government agencies as a clerk and media specialist. Her last position was with the U.S. Forest Service. She was a lifetime member of NARFE, and a member of the genealogy society and garden club. She received her degree from the University of New Mexico as an "older student" who pursued her studies in history, creative writing, English and literature. She was an accomplished artist and designed for work and pleasure. Her genealogy research led to factual understanding of the English/Irish/Moravian family history. Canyon Transitional Nursing and Rehabilitation was her last residence and she cherished her lovely roommate, Kathleen Angulo and the personnel, the CNAs and nursing staff, and recently, the Gentiva Hospice team. Those who knew "Mozie" will remember her love of cafAC. mocha, pretty outfits, musical events and her sweet phrase, "Can I help you?" Mozelle was predeceased by her mother, Lucille McKee; sister, Wanda Dodson; and her nephew, Scott Dodson. Mourning her passing is her niece, Jan Dodson- Barnhart of Albuquerque; cousins, Ann Haines (Chuck), David Teegarden (Lisa) in Tulsa, OK and Tom Teegarden (late Beverly) of Sanger, TX; their children; and Lee Matthews of Los Lunas, NM. She also leaves behind local friends including Betty Raymer, Dr. Rose Diaz (Andy Russell), Elizabeth Steinhagen and Helen Martin. Private ennichement will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
