Molly MacGillivray, 96, went to be with the Lord February 8, 2015. Born in Santa Fe to Herbert and Grace Gerhart , she grew up in Santa Fe and later spent all of her adult life in Albuquerque. She is survived by her two sons, Jim MacGillivray and wife, Jody and Jack MacGillivray and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Jim MacGillivray and wife, Debbie, Jeff MacGillivray and wife, Liz, Tangi MacGillivray, Leslie Melton and husband, Jeff, Cody MacGillivray; great grandchildren, Noah, Joseph, Michaela, Ryan, Sean, Jason, Brendan, Isabella, Jack, and Bryce. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Fletcher Mast and husband, Boyd and many other family and friends. Molly was preceded in death by her husband, Finlay; her sons, Scott and Tosh; her grandson, Shane; her parents and her brother, Jim Gerhart. Molly's love and devotion to her family was faithful and unconditional. Always known for her adventurous and energetic spirit, she imparted to her children and grandchildren that true happiness is achieved through high moral standards, personal responsibility, and the love of others. Molly and Finlay were married at the First Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque where they attended for many years and where she served as a deaconess. Prior to becoming a Mom she lived in New York City where she became an accomplished dancer, and eventually opened her own dancing school in Santa Fe. In her later years she wrote wonderful poetry that expressed her joys in life and her struggles. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 21, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Grace Church, located at 6901 San Antonio Drive NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. .
