Dr. Mohinder A. Mital (Mindi) passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2016.
He is survived by Debby, his wife of 48 years; his four children, Peter, Steve (Amy), Mark (Janet), and Leah; and seven grandkids, Jason, Jessica, Andrew, Alexandra, Amelia, Austin, and Anjay.
Mohinder, Mindi, as he was affectionately known, grew up in India, the eldest of seven children. He emigrated to the United States in 1962 and spent more than 50 years as a renowned orthopedist, completing more than 3,000 surgeries. He died one day shy of his full retirement, an achievement he would be proud of.
A memorial service will be held at the Mital Family home at 4120 Dietz Farm Circle N.W. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Colleagues, friends, and former patients are welcome.
