Mitchell W. Mulcahy, was born September 19, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM, and died from melanoma on September 8, 2018. Mitch lived a simple and meaningful life. He said what he thought, he did what he said he was going to do, and he had a fierce, and sarcastic sense of humor. He loved his family and friends with a pure heart, great loyalty, honesty and pride. He did not tolerate nonsense, nor did he suffer fools easily. Mitch affected thousands of lives with his work as a science teacher for 21 years at Taft Middle School, his alma mater. He had countless Sigma Chi brothers with whom he shared enduring and strong friendships. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and UNM Lobo fan regardless of win-loss records. He is survived by his father Jack Mulcahy; wife, Deanna Sánchez Mulcahy; children, Michael, Jeffrey, and Grace; brother, Marty Goehring & wife, Cheryl; sister, Dana Zarcone & husband, Lynn; sister, Kristen Mulcahy; Elisa & Charles Wilkinson; Chris & Denise Sanchez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whom he enjoyed, teased, chided, joked with and loved.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Diane Beers Mulcahy; brother-in-law, Stevan Sanchez, & friend Stephen Chumley. Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming.
