Mildred Esmeralda Trujillo 91, went to be with our Lord on Monday, September 10, 2018.
She was born February 12, 1927 in New Kirk, NM; raised in Puerta Luna, NM on a Ranch where she grew up loving horses. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in the early 50’s from Tucumcari, NM.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Chavez, Carolina Ware and Gloria Romero and husband Robert; grandchildren, Sylvia Garcia and husband, Eddie, Andrea Garcia, Geraldine Ware Ayala and Marcio and Marcos Lujan; nine great grandchildren, Jeriko and Josiah Garcia, Gregory and Benjamin Garcia, Reanna, Jacob and Michael Sanchez, Marcos Jr. and Tomas Lujan; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews, family and friends including her sister, Pauline Ruiz.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Todosita Mirabal; grandson, Gregory Steven Chavez; five brothers; and four sisters.
Mildred was a jewel who was loved by everyone. She was a beautiful soul who loved both her family and extended family. She loved animals especially dogs which she had many throughout her life. She loved the horseraces, music and dancing. She was a loving and caring grandmother.
Mildred was a hairstylist and owned Laney’s Beauty Salon. She was employed at Furr’s Cafeteria for many years. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Society at Saint Charles Catholic Church. She was a devout catholic who attended St. Edwin’s Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank all those employed by Life Spire including management for their hard work and dedication. A big thank you to Compassus Hospice.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 17th, 2018, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Her Life Celebration will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. and Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna RD NW. Burial following at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menual Blvd NE. Pallbearers are: Eddie Garcia, Jeriko Garcia, Josiah Garcia, Michael Sanchez, Leroy Gutierrez and Bob Maestas.
Reception will be held at Ladera Golf Course Banquet Hall.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and extended family and friends.
