Mildred B. "Milli" Harte

December 1, 1926 — September 30, 2015

Mildred (Milli) B. Harte, age 88, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at home, of natural causes.
She was born December 1, 1926 in Bayonne, NJ, the daughter of Herman and Anna Stelljes. She is survived by her children, Nancy Jenkins of Albuquerque, Andi (Ross) Schoonover of Waterloo, IA, and Connie (Bob) Geist of Santa Rosa, CA. She has 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Milli is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank Harte; brother, Richard Stelljes; son, Dr. Robert Bussey; and daughter, GiGi Benton.
Milli went to the prestigious Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City, NY. She worked as a secretary for Standard Oil in New York City, NY. She then moved to Albuquerque, NM with her parents and family. She was employed by Sandia National Laboratories, Grafix, Inc. (a family business), and Gulton Industries from which she retired. Milli lived her life to the fullest and anyone she met immediately loved her. She always had a smile on her face and truly cared about others, even those she had recently met. She enjoyed golf, traveling with her husband, watching football, and baseball. But more than anything in life, she loved her family and spending time with them.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date. Milli will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery next to her husband, Hank. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, ELCA, at 1100 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
