Mildred Griffo

GRIFFO, Mildred Mildred Griffo, age 73, our family's matriarch and rock, passed away peacefully in her home on August 3, 2015. Millie was an amazingly strong, beautiful and giving woman who battled cancer and the effects of cancer for years. She retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 25 years of service. She enjoyed golf, spending time with family and friends, and spending a little time in the casino. Millie was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Otome Ganeko; her brother Jimmy Ganeko; her husband Donald Griffo Sr ;and her son Douglas Griffo Sr. She is survived by her children, Donald Griffo Jr, Dominic Griffo Sr and Deborah Gallegos; sisters and brothers, June Konishi, Thomas Ganeko, George Ganeko, Naomi Chinen, Juliana Okuhara, and Patricia Martin; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at FRENCH- Lomas located at 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.
