Michael Ortiz, age 30, passed away September 16, 2018 after a long illness with A-T (Ataxia telangiectasia). He is survived by his parents, Vicky and Steve; his three sisters, Erica, Jessica and Tristina; his grandma, Dora; and his nina, Lydia Velarde and nino, Johnny Ortiz. Michael is preceded in death by his aunty, Jeannie; grandma, Eloisa Ortiz; and grandpa, Jesus Martinez. A funny, strong spirited man who touched the lives of everyone around him. Michael was known for his love of Halloween and Super Hero’s. He always was excited to see the new super hero movies and would talk about the sequel afterwards. He wasn’t a selfish or judgmental person and loved his family dearly. He always cared for his loved ones before himself. His laugh was contagious, and his smile and excitement to see his sisters would warm their hearts. Michael was loved by his three sisters and shared many fun memories with them. Such memories as hysterical piggy back rides, casino dates, and watching the silliest movies over and over. Michael taught his family they are strong and no matter the obstacle they can conquer it together. His long conversations with his mom, his good taste in music, his kindness, his voice, his remarkable courage and strength will forever be remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.
