Michael J. Martinez

Martinez - Michael J. "Mike" Martinez, 38, a resident of Henderson, NV, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013. He is survived by his partner, Kyle Olney, his father, Michael W. Martinez, his mother, Esther M. Martinez, his brother Christopher Martinez and wife Janae, his sister Michelle Young and husband Ben, Kyle's parents, Sharon & Ted Olney, sister Kit and husband Corey Saiz, grandmother Rose Chavez, nieces, Gabriella Young and god-daughter Mila Young, nephew Owen Olney, and many other family and friends including many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a graduate with honors at Valley High School and UNM where he was on the gymnastics team. Mike taught gymnastics at Dana's Westside Gym. He was a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines for over 13 years. Michael was a very kind; generous and loving person always had a great smile and always made others smile. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 9:30 am at St Jude Thaddeus. The Mass will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:00 am. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Friends and family may visit prior to the Rosary at the church. Memorial contributions may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank Branch, c/o the Memorial fund for Michael Martinez.
