Michael Robert Lehmann passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born in New York City, on Tuesday, March 31, 1942. After his service in the US Army, his career was devoted to law enforcement. He retired as Chief Deputy Marshal of the New Mexico District. Prior to the US Marshal Service, he served as an officer in the Arlington, Texas Police Department, Deputy Sheriff of Platte County, Missouri, and a Deputy with Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. His Bachelor's Degree was obtained from the University of Texas in Arlington and his master's degree from the University of New Mexico.
He was blessed in life by his amazing wife, Lisa, who was his constant companion and caregiver during his many years of struggle with ALS. The light of his life was his daughter, Lydia, who made him proud every day and will continue to do so in the years to come. Family members who will miss him include his sister, Deb Lehmann Pertain and her husband, John; nephew, Jonathan Kowalewski and his wife Jennifer; as well as cousins and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Vera Lehmann.
A Rosary will be at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, Albuquerque at 10 am on Friday, October 14, 2022, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
