Michael D. Hannah

Michael D. Hannah, 74, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on August 4, 2021. He entered this world on May 20, 1947 in Silver Creek, NY, born to David and Geraldine Hannah. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Hannah; daughter, Tiffany Pierson (Chad) of Oregon; sons, Joseph (Joy) and John (Michelle) of Albuquerque; sister, Eileen Fisher (Bill) of Florida; and 8 grandchildren.

Michael received his BS degree in business from LSU, and Masters degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, received the Meritorious Service Medal and other distinguishing awards. After he retired as Lieutenant Colonel he taught for SCSI at Kirtland AFB Safety Center. He then went on to work as a contractor for the Air Force teaching crash investigation in Albuquerque, receiving commendation awards of excellence.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to work with his hands; there was no job he wouldn't tackle. He never knew a stranger and had a passion for helping others. Mike was greatly loved and respected by his family, and will be missed by all that knew him. He was also a devoted and patient grandfather.

A Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
