Michael Foreman Davis

Michael Foreman Davis passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 7, 2020, at age 52, ending his brave, long fought battle with brain cancer.  Without a doubt, we know that he has been received with joy and love in the arms of his Maker.

Mike was born in September 1967 in Albuquerque, NM to Clareene and Donald Davis.  On June 13, 1992, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Shanna Lyn Rasberry. Together, they had three strong, beautiful girls, Cheyenne, Michaela Rae, and Logan, whom he raised to be taught in the ways of the Lord. He had “No greater joy than to hear that [his] children are walking in the truth." – 3 John 1:4

The way that Mike saw and loved both people and God’s Creation with a special, sweet innocence was unique to him. He loved people fully and appreciated life’s every moment without hesitation. He laughed freely and often, and made anyone he talked to feel like the funniest person in the room. He was pure light. We, here, are grateful for the extraordinary joy you brought into our lives by your very presence.

He was a friend to all and had the gift of charisma that allowed him to strike up a conversation with literally anyone he encountered, from a homeless person on the street, to the grocery store clerk, to his fellow cancer patients at the cancer center, to every single neighbor within a 10 mile radius, and all in between.

As they have said many times, Shanna and Mike, or as they called each other, Boog and Shoog, both loved each other and liked each other. They loved each other’s company and would spend endless evenings and afternoons sitting on their patio. Favorite evenings were spent enjoying the rain. These wonderful moments together, in addition to their many adventures on trips to Chama, Wyoming, and elsewhere, are experiences that solidified their precious bond. Their babies are forever grateful for their efforts in creating a perfect upbringing and happy home, as well as showing an incredible example in lifelong partnership.
