Michael Stewart Copeland

Michael S. Copeland, 66, beloved brother, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, September 7, 2020. He entered this world on March 23, 1954, in Gallup, NM born to Owen and Elizabeth Copeland. He is survived by his sister, Kathy; brother, Robert "Bull" Copeland and wife, Dot; brother, Rick Copeland; son, Damon Copeland; and son, Evan Copeland and wife, Sarah; and grandchildren, Devon, Camryn, and Everleigh.

Mike was a Renaissance man with many talents that included anything mechanical, wood working, restoration of artifacts, an amateur stock car driver and collecting a multitude of memorabilia. He served his community as a volunteer fire fighter for Milan and was always willing to help a neighbor in need.

A memorial service will be held at Grants Memorial Cemetery on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. In observance of the Public Health Order we ask people to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and not to gather in groups of more than 10 people. The family will be present during the graveside ceremony starting at 2:00 p.m., if others would like to pay their respects, we ask that you wait in your car and proceed to the grave after the ceremony concludes. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date after the public health order is lifted.
