Mercedes Washington Mott

In Loving Memory of a very Special lady, Mercedes Mott, a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away January 6, 2015. Those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Mercee, know she was one of a kind. Mercedes leaves a daughter, Joyce White and a son, David Gregory; sister Algeria Eastman; Beloved companion Gene Unruh and a grandson, David Gregory, II; sister-in-law Helen Washington; nieces, nephews; life long friends Tommie Clayton and Margaret Taylor; and many other loving relatives. Mercedes was the Chairwoman of the Courtesy Committee for the Home Circle Club, the African American Professional Woman's Social Organization, as well as the Chairwoman of the Courtesy Committee for the Albuquerque African American Catholic Association. Mercee was a devoted, selfless woman who never said "No" to anyone. Memorial service will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions are requested to the Home Circle Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 65718, Albuquerque, NM 87193.
