Mercedes Lucero

Mercedes (Arellanes) Lucero was born September 10, 1922, in Las Vegas NM and resided in Chaparito, NM as a child. Mercedes went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the age of 100. She lived and followed our Lord's word in traditional Roman Catholic Faith.

Mercedes married Severo Lucero of Las Vegas, NM on June 24, 1938. They lived a blessed marriage of 55 years together. They were blessed with three children; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11509 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, where Mercedes will be interred with her beloved decorated WWII Army veteran husband. God Bless our Mercedes Lucero.
