Melvin Orlando Martinez

Melvin O Martinez, 73, passed away on September 6, 2021.

Melvin was born on May 28, 1948 to Joe and Clara Martinez. He was raised in Bernalillo, NM with 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He worked for the town of Bernalillo and retired after 30 years. During his retirement he took care of his grandchildren. Besides spending time with his family, Melvin loved to watch old western movies, Monk, and Sci-fi. He always bought things that he didn't need from "As seen on TV".

Melvin is survived by his wife, Dominica Martinez; daughter, Sonia Baldonado and husband, Dennis; son, Sammy Garcia; along with 7 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Clara Martinez; brothers, Felix Martinez and JP Martinez; his sisters, Angie Jauerqui and Theresa Griego.

The Pallbearers are DJ Garcia, Devin Baldonado, Dennis Baldonado, John Romero, Troy Martinez, George Romero. Honorary pallbearers Mike Maestas, Bernie McGartland, and Elijah Garcia.

A Viewing will be held at 5:00pm followed by Rosary being recited on Thursday September 16, 2021 at 6:00pm at FRENCH-Wyoming. A Service at Calvary Chapel Friday September 17, 2021 at 11:00am, 401 Osuna Rd NE Albuquerque, NM 87109.
