Melinda Martinez

Devoted Mother, FiancAC.e, and Friend, Melinda Martinez, age 57, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 in her Albuquerque home with her family by her side. Melinda was born March 15, 1957 in Las Cruces, NM to Federico and Juanita Del Rio, her loving parents. Since 1985, Melinda has worked in the medical field serving and caring for others. She is well known for her incredible work ethic, compassion for others, and her loving nature. On December 25, 2013, Melinda was diagnosed with Leukemia. She battled fiercely, continuing to work while she received treatments. Despite her best efforts, Melinda passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by those she loved. She is survived by her fiancAC., Michael Romero; her children, Melanie and Cheryl Martinez; and many family and friends. We welcome all who cherished Melinda to attend memorial services on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
