Melinda Alexandra Cook

Melinda "Lynda" Cook, 71, born in 1946 in Shropshire, England. Our beloved wife, mother grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all, passed away on July 13, 2018.Preceded in death by husband Ronald "Rocky", parents, Stewart & Betty Murray. Survived by husband, Gus Foukas; sons, Ron (Judy), Steve (Janet); step-children, George, Elaine; grandchildren, Gage, Jill, Madison, Corbin, Jonah, Sterling, Alexi, Jake, Cody, and Luke; siblings, Alex (Diane) Murray, Alan (Marcelo) Murray; and many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church where she volunteered for many years. She loved books and spending time with her grandchildren. She has left us a legacy of many memories, fidelity to the church and love. Visitation will take place on Monday, July16, from 5-7 p.m., with a Trisagion at 7 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE, Albuquerque. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Melinda's name to The Cancer Services of New Mexico Foundation.
