TEMPLETON, MAXINE GAULTBorn February 11, 1928, died on Saturday, January 12, 2013. She was the wife of Jim Templeton for 58 years. Maxine is survived by her husband, Jim Templeton; son, Carson Templeton with Lourdes Herrera, and children; daughter, Valerie Templeton and Melinda; granddaughters, Sara Tafoya and husband, Miguel, Selene Padilla and Andres and Candace Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Darren and Elysia Tafoya; five sisters, Marcella Chambers, Myrle Dadig, Mary Jo LaDuron, Micki Atkinson and Myrna Kohs; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Gault. She transcribed Braille for the blind which she enjoyed very much and would like any remembrances to be made to the New Mexico Federation of the Blind or Easter Seals of New Mexico. In her quiet and unassuming ways, Maxine impacted the lives of many. An exemplary wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Many sought counsel from her insight and wisdom. She loved the simple things of life, a beautiful flower, a New Mexico sunset, long rides on country roads and reading books. She loved animals and received great joy in the many pets her and husband Jim had. From llamas to even a monkey they took care of over 60 pets during their marriage. Of her many achievement's, she was proudest when she perfected transcribing Braille. On behalf of the Templeton family, a heartfelt Thank You to the women at the Beehive assisted living facility on Silent Spring Street in Rio Rancho and to Ralph Zych, P.A. extraordinaire, and the nursing staff on the 5th floor of Rust Presbyterian for their gentle and thorough care. A sincere Thanks to Josie Chacon, Sharon Olszewski, Martha Nail, Liz Smith, Louise Bland and Lori Templeton, all special friends of Maxine's. There are not enough words to describe how much she will be missed. We love you Mom and know you will be waiting in Heaven. Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
