Max Martinez

Max Martinez Sr., a cherished member of the Albuquerque community, passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on June 8, 1936, in Bolaños, Mexico, Max was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many.

Max served in the Marines where he demonstrated his unwavering dedication to his country. Following his military service, Max pursued a successful career as a business owner in the tire industry, specializing in his passion for Big O Tires.

Throughout his life, Max was known for his love for bowling, showcasing his competitive spirit and social nature. His kindness and generosity endeared him to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on his family and community.

Max is survived by his loving wife, Grace Martinez; sons Max Martinez III wife Barbara Martinez, Tito Martinez, and Paul Martinez wife Renee Martinez; daughter Rachel McKellar; grandchildren, Miranda Arrington husband Christian Arrington,Andrew Martinez wife Emily Powers,Jessica Martinez, Morgan Powers, Benjamin Martinez wife Amy Martinez , Michael Martinez, Megan Martinez,Brittany Mckellar,and Christina Mckellar; great-grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Layne Arrington, Mia Arrington, Luna Powers

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, 6:00p.m. at FRENCH-Lomas. He will be laid to rest on Friday, May 10, 2024, 9:00a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Max Martinez,Michael Martinez, Tito Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Paul Martinez, Benjamin Martinez

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tomas Aranda,Christian Arrington, Pedro Martinez

Though Max has departed from this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he left behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
