Max Gonzales was born in Magdalena, New Mexico, on Monday, February 22, 1932, to Antonio and Tiburcia Gonzales. He went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 7, 2019. His passing was peaceful- surrounded by family members.
Max retired from Monarch Properties where he was a property manager for many years. He previously worked for ACF and General Electric.
He is survived by daughters, Nancy Montoya (Tobias) and Anna Cupich (Rudy); his grandchildren, Tobias Montoya, Rudy Cupich Jr. (Liz), Alexis Indest (Matt); eight great-grandchildren, Jessica, Xavier, Antoinette, Christopher, Ryan, Pia, Kaia, and Avery; two great-great-grandchildren, Macario and Mia. Other survivors include brother, Tony Gonzales; sister, Gloria Salazar; brother-in-law, Lupe Lopez Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church for over 50 Years. He loved to go deep sea fishing with his loving wife, Priscilla (who preceded him in death), in the San Francisco Bay area. He also paid an occasional visit to different casinos where he enjoyed the penny machines and the cuisine.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 9500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
