Maura Olivia "Dolly" Kelsey

Maura Olivia Kelsey, born "Dolly" Archuleta, age 79, peacefully went into the loving arms of our Lord, surrounded by her family, on Friday, April 25, 2014. She was born December 7, 1934 in Watrous, NM. She had many stories to share with her children about growing up in the beautiful area of Las Vegas and Watrous, NM. Her first love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus, and then her family. Maura and her husband, Ronnie were married for 53 wonderful years. Maura and Ronnie raised 6 children in Gallup, NM before moving to Albuquerque in 1987. After his death in 2005, not one day went by that she did not mention missing Dad. Maura enjoyed children, painting, the mountains, and a few of the local casinos. In addition to raising her children, Maura worked for the JC Penny store in Gallup for several years. She also managed the Tops N Bottoms store and enjoyed working as a substitute teacher. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. She is survived by her six children, Keith Kelsey and wife, Janelle, Karen Zweiacher and husband, Greg, Kevin Kelsey and wife, Regina, Kenneth Kelsey and wife, Joni, Karl Kelsey and girlfriend, Jeanette, Kathy Nielson and husband, Mark; nephew Martin Barros; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Maura was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie P. Kelsey; parents, Larry and Dora Archuleta; sister, Diana Anderson; granddaughter, Angel Grano; and nephew, Christopher Barros. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
