Matthew John Mckenney, born April 17, 2019, was the epitome of everything good in the world. He was always happy even when encountering sadness that his genuine innocence protected him from. Chu, as Garrett and his family called him, was always smiling and loving. He greeted his family and friends with the biggest hugs you've ever gotten and a sincere happiness to see you. The best greeting of all was every time he saw Garrett, he would start with a huge smile and then proceed with a full on sprint towards him and then 70% of the time a jump into him, while the other 30% was just running right into him. This was of course followed by the purest embrace I've ever seen.
Matthew brought happiness to everyone we encountered. He was so loved by so many people. The Mckenney family, on his father's side and to include the Livingston's, were there to watch Matthew and spend a lot of time with him. The Mckenney's brought so much love, laughter, and adventure that will always be cherished. The Billiman's on his mother's side also were often there to spend time with Matthew and provide love. Above all, Matthew was truly his father's son.
With this deep sadness, in true Matthew fashion we want there to be happiness in remembering who he was and all the good times. We want his happy personality and positive persona to shed light on everyone to live their lives as he did. Matthew is in a place where he's running around without a care in the world happy as can be watching over all of us wanting us to experience life to the fullest.
