Mary Fay Harkins

Mary Fay Harkins, 83, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Friday, December 13, 2019. She entered this world on February 19, 1936 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Fidel and Barbara Sanchez. She is survived by her daughters, Christine Vargas, Diana Brown, Barbara Moore and spouse, David; brothers and sisters, Gloria Silva and spouse, Manuel, Johnny Sanchez and Carol, Phillip Sanchez and spouse, Becky, and Loretta Chavez and spouse, Melvin; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She traveled throughout the United States for over 20 years, with her then husband, Mike Harkins. Mary Fay served in the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 13 and Post 99, holding many positions including president. Mary Fay was also a Tri Delta member and VFW member. A remembrance service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A scattering of ashes will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
