Mary B. Gleason and Karen Gleason

Mary B. Gleason (Knight), 86, went home to heaven Friday, September 3, 2021, at home surrounded by children and grandchildren. A native of Albuquerque, Mary, a mother of 8 children, was preceded in death by her husband John H. Gleason (Died 1988), oldest son Neal E. Gleason (Died 2021), and daughter Kathy M. Gleason (Died 2007). She is survived by five sons: John V. Gleason, wife Debbie; Donald S. Gleason, wife Teresa; Kenneth A. Gleason, wife Tina; Richard C. Gleason, wife Sandy; Karen M. Gleason (who died on Monday at the hospital); Brian J. Gleason, wife Lori, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother, and faithfully served her Lord Jesus Christ. Mary worked for Albuquerque Publishing Company and J. C. Penny to help support the family when John was severely injured in an accident on his motorcycle. After John’s death in 1989, Mary sold Avon, primarily for the friendship with her customers, and something to keep her active. She was an active member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church.
She will be interred next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Cometary. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Her daughter Karen, who went home with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021. Her ashes will be placed in Mary's casket.

Karen Marguerite Gleason, passed away on Monday 5 September 2021 at age 58. Karen, a retired Home Health Nurse was a faithful caregiver and companion of her mother Mary Gleason for several years. Her and Mary, both natives of Albuquerque, shared a home in the NE Heights. Karen became an Army Reserve Lieutenant (Registered Nurse) for several years, following her graduation from UNM's Nursing School. During her nursing career Karen was a traveling county home health nurse who spent many years in Tennessee covering a large rural area, where she made many friends and served her patients diligently. Karen was an active member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church where she made many lifelong friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her father John H. Gleason, mother Mary B. Gleason, brother Neal E. Gleason, and twin sister Kathryn M. Gleason. Surviving brothers, John V. Gleason, wife Debbie; Donald S. Gleason, wife Teresa; Kenneth A. Gleason, wife Tina; Richard C. Gleason, wife Sandy; and Brian J. Gleason, wife Lori. She has numerous nieces, nephews, as well as grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all and she blessed our lives in many ways .

A graveside service will be held on Monday , September 27, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd Ne, 87102.
