Mary Alice Montoya

Mary Alice Montoya, 89, born in Dawson, NM, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Albert "Veto" Montoya; parents, Esequiel and Natividad Ybarra; brother, Johnny Ybarra; daughters, Patricia Caraveo, Gloria Montoya; and grandchildren, Ken Caraveo and Alyssa Barboa. Mary is survived by her siblings, Esequiel Ybarra, Odelia Apodaca, and Dolores Drogheo (John); son, Anthony Montoya (Connie); daughters, Valerie Jaramillo (Damian), Kathy Montoya (Andy), Terese Peralta (John), and Darlene Montoya (Chris). Mary had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be tremendously missed by all. We want to give a special thank you to the staff at Kindred Hospice and the special care granddaughter Gabrielle Chavez provided for Mary. A Rosary will be live streamed via FRENCH University on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 1860 Griegos Road NW.
