Mary Louise Yonker

Mary L. Yonker, (Tootsie), 78, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away as the sun was rising on Thursday morning, February 21, 2019. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Vikki Spicer and husband, Leroy of Albuquerque and their children, Tanisha Yonker of Albuquerque and Curtis Allen Jr. and wife, Sarah of Denver, CO; her son, Joshua Yonker, Jr. and wife, Diana of Albuquerque and their children, Cherrelle, Charles, Joshua III, DeAndre, Ashley, Asa, Raquel, DeAmber, Jamaica, and Jaiden; and son, Aaron Yonkers and his children, Ramon, Eunique, Tasha, Jamiesha, Shaqui, Seantay, and Jontay; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Joshua Yonker, Sr, one grandchild, and one sister. Mom was born in Greenville, NC. She married Joshua Yonker (USAF) on June 20, 1958 in Merced, CA. Mom was an Air Force wife for 29 years spending most of that time in New Mexico. She enjoyed working out at the gym, ceramics, bowling, dancing, music, especially gospel, and spending time with family and friends. Mary had a great sense of humor and a sweet, quiet spirit. Mom received Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 2004 at New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church. Her family would like to express a special thank you to Harmony House in Rio Rancho and Dr. Richard Ortega for their loving care and special treatment of our Mom. Friends may visit FRENCH – University, Tuesday, February 26, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be her son, Aaron Yonkers, grandson, Charles Griegos, grandson, Seantay Lane, grandson, Jontay Lane, grandson, Curtis Allen Jr, and son-in-law, Leroy Spicer.
