Mary Weaver Garcia

Mary Weaver Garcia, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born September 6, 1932 in Phoenix, AZ to Leo Tilden Weaver and Alma McIllWain. She spent most of her childhood in New Mexico, graduating from Cloudcroft High School in 1950. Afterward, she attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque before earning her Bachelor's Degree in History at San Jose University, San Jose, CA. Mary worked both at the Albuquerque Public Library as well as the New Mexico State Library. Mary is survived by two children, Robert Duane Hamblen and his wife Jennifer of Sydney, Australia and Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Beaver of Sandia Park, NM; a grandson, Kenneth John Dayhoff and his two children, Austyn and Hannah of Moriarty, NM.
