She was blessed by her caring and loving friends and caretakers who continually visited and supported her during her recent illness.
Mary was truly a woman on the go, having lived in Arizona, California, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington. A significant part of Mary's life was visiting her family and friends throughout the country. Her family in Washington State held a special place in her heart.
After graduating from Michigan State University, she taught home economics and then took time off to raise her two sons. Many summers were spent traveling throughout the United States in their Air Stream trailer. In later life Mary was a compassionate caregiver nurturing her parents in her home for ten years. She was always inquisitive and passionate about learning; a few of her interests were food, spirituality, and wellness. If you had time, she would share what she had just learned or her most recent pursuit.
