Mary (McWilliams) Usrey

Mary McWilliams Usrey passed away on June 8, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM.  Ms. Usrey was a long time resident of eastern New Mexico and a secondary teacher in the Clovis public school system for many years. She retired from teaching in 1978 and moved to Portales when she married her second husband, James Usrey, who passed away in 1994. She was born in Throckmorton, Texas, the middle daughter of Ernest and Belva Gibson’s three daughters. She was a graduate of Texas Tech University and she married Oscar McWilliams in 1943. Mr. McWilliams passed away in 1974.

Ms. Usrey has two daughters, Marilyn McWilliams Garcia and Susan McWilliams Shank, both of Albuquerque; three grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.
