Mary Lou Tapia

Mary Lou Tapia, age 85, dedicated and loving wife and mother, passed away February 21st, 2016. Mary Lou was known for her conviction to the Lord and her generosity. She served on the Alter Rosary Society, Legion of Mary and as a Eucharistic Minister for The Shrine of St. Bernadette Church. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her first son, Larry M. Tapia and her loving and devoted husband, Modesto Tapia. She is survived by her children, L. Zandra Rise, Modesto J. Tapia, Gerald (Jerry) Tapia and Lorraine M. Tapia; her grandchildren, Matthew S. Rise, Ryan J. Tapia, Michael M. Rise, Cheryl R. Tapia, Elena M. Tapia, and Lorenzo M. Tapia; four great grandchildren; her sisters, Alice Gallegos, Cecilia Roybal, Helen Avila, Terri Hausmann; and extended family. Visitation will be Monday, February 29, 2016, 5:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 1st, 2016, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Church, 11401 Indian School Rd, NE ABQ. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
